Scope of works:
Once home to the nation’s favourite chocolate treats, the former Cadbury’s chocolate factory in Keynsham has been transformed into a stylish development of spacious, well-appointed retirement apartments together with a care home within the complex.
Split into 3 main blocks, SWI were awarded the drylining, plastering & screed works to block A which consists of 106 extra care apartments over 6 floors, large communal 2 storey atrium, conservatory and garden rooms. During the project SWI were then awarded block C which consists of mixed office and retail over 5 floors along with 2 basement levels.
Following the gutting of the 1920’s concrete framed buildings, SWI undertook the following works;
